Part 1 -- Taiwanese Bubble Tea (珍珠奶茶)
Round 1:: One More Cup in Causeway Bay
再來一 杯
Have been to this location a few times and it is conveniently located in the heart of Causeway Bay behind Sogo, often with a long queue of people waiting for their summer's favourite beverage (aside from beer) -- Taiwanese Bubble Tea (珍珠奶茶). Today, my conquest was to review this place so we ordered the following:
Regular flavoured Taiwanese Bubble Tea ($10)
Previous experiences tells me that it is very sweet so do order low-sugar with A LOT OF BUBBLES (珍珠) with no extra charges unlike other location. If you do not know what the bubbles are, they are very chewy winegum like texture which is sunk at the bottom of the cup and is tasteless but somewhat goes very well with a drink to have something to chew on. Overall flavour and taste is very good, your perfect drink during the summer and remember, it is only $10!!
Chocolate flavoured Bubble Tea ($17)
This is a new flavour as I wanted something more Un-Original -- felt like a crossover between Starbucks and Taiwanese Bubble Tea. If you are calorie conscious, please DO NOT order this as it is very sweet yet very tasty. Somehow, I know the staff quite well so the bubble portion was very generous. Kudos to their staff on this. It is very chocolatey for sure and very filling, could well have contained the equivalent calories for a dinner. Again, at $10, your good drink to get during summer
Downside is that standing in the middle of Causeway Bay (very crowded area of Hong Kong just like anywhere else in Hong Kong) waiting for this drink is not the best thing to do in summer and at peak times, quite possibly Hong Kong's slowest service! Have no idea how they can make money at $10 a drink!!

Food Journey #3 -- 糖仁街 (China Town Dessert)
So, was cruising around Tsim Sha Tsui area yesterday after my journey to Heichinrou (聘珍樓) and my god, walking around in Hong Kong in 34 degree heat is not exactly the best activity in this part of the world, believe my word! The amount of body fluid that was lost during the walk from Canton Road to Tsim Sha Tsui East area was a major concern!

Ended up in very interesting road called Hau Fok Street (厚福街). I have previously visited this road before when 798 Unit & C0 (see link http://ow.ly/l0Dz ) first opened and know that it is definitely Tsim Sha Tsui's most undervalued area for a unique food experience.
What caught my eye was below shop, very colourful with EXTREMELY COLD air conditioning therefore I decided to check out the menu. It turns out that they are infamous for 雪花冰 -- a traditional Taiwanese dessert (flavoured snow-flaked ice shavings). Sat down, checked out the menu and without a doubt and no regrets went for the (a) Valrona Chocolate Ice Shavings with Chocolate Sauce, Chocolate Chips, Chocolate Marshmallow, Banana and Coffee Jelly and my missus ordered a (b) Sweet Condense Milk Flavoured Ice Shaving with Corn Flakes.
(A) -- Very sweet, tasty and very interesting texture. Flavour of chocolate sauce is extremely rich and the already flavoured chocolate ice, an absolutely deadly combination. Coffee Jelly & Banana on the side are also a perfect complement with the ice shavings
(B)-- Personally, not my favourite as it is far too sweet and not a fan of cornflakes therefore am glad that I didnt order this. Definitely a very female dessert indeed as 8 / 10 girls / ladies were having this dessert.
A nice & small dessert place serving up exotic Taiwanese style dessert, definite place for summer but if you are calorie or health conscious, honestly do not recommend you to visit this place as there is far too much sweet temptation.
